Karasin: channels of our communication with Georgia intensified lately

Moscow plans to continue the process of improving relations with Tbilisi, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin said.

"The channels of our communication with Tbilisi remain open and have become active lately. This does not just apply to the trade, transport, and energy sectors, but also to contacts between people. This is undoubtedly positive," RIA Novosti cited him as saying.

He explained that Moscow and Tbilisi are "in the process of visa liberalization".

Recall, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin and the Georgian prime minister’s special representative for relations with Russia, Zurab Abashidze, will hold the next meeting in Prague in March.
