Sawdust snow falls in the Kuban region's Apsheronsk

The prosecutor's office of the Absheron district (Krasnodar Territory) today initiated a probe into the contamination of the ground and air with wood waste in the vicinity of Apsheronsk, the press service of the prosecutor's office in the region reported.

"Testing was initiated due to the recent media information and complaints received from citizens about wood dust and sawdust precipitation that fell on Saturday night. The prosecutors went to the scene, the pollution scale and its source are being determined, Interfax-South quotes a press spokesperson.
