US wants settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict

The USA is in favour of a continuation of the peace process in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said at a the OCSE summit in Astana, Trend reports.

She stated that settlement should be provided on the basis of the Helsinki principles.

As the OCSE is a consultative body, the only way of making common decisions is holding summits. In recent years the situation in the sphere of international security has changed dramatically, and the Astana summit is a perfect place to discuss current problems.
