Putin and Saudi King discuss agreements on Syria

Russian President Vladimir Putin has held a telephone conversation with Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in which he "explained to him the essence of the Russian-US joint statement on Syria."

"The king of Saudi Arabia welcomed the agreements reached and expressed readiness to cooperate with Russia for their implementation," the Kremlin press service said, adding that the sides agreed to continue contacts on this matter.

Recall, Putin’s previous telephone conversation with the Saudi king was held on February 19.

Earlier today, Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
