Kremlin comments on information about visas for Turkish fans
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented the information that Fenerbahce FC fans did not come to Moscow for the match over problems with obtaining Russian visas.
Peskov said he received information about it from media reports, but did not check the information yet, adding that the Russian Consulate General’s Office in Istanbul said that there were no visa applications from football fans, RIA Novosti reports.
"So, of course, if there were visa applications, but a mass denial followed in response, it will make sense to launch an inquiry. But it is irrelevant to speak of some sort of crisis if there were no visa applications," the spokesman noted.
