Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has ordered the Ministries of
Regional Development and Emergencies to prepare federal aid to
Dagestan due to a massive fire in one of its villages, RIA Novosti
reports.

According to Interfax, the premier's order was a reaction to the
statement of the Minister of Regional Development Victor Basargin, who
said that the fire was caused by carelessness.

Vestnik Kavkaza reported earlier that a fire broke out in the Tsibari
village, in the Tsuntin Region of Dagestan. The fire quickly spread
across the village. 50 out of 95 houses burned down. The nearest
fire-fighters were located 70-100 kilometres away. The wind was
complicating the situation. The villagers were accommodated in nearby
villages. The fire was put out at 19.35.

The fire-fighters saved a school, kindergarten and a surgery.
