Peskov: we need to focus on assessment of Kadyrov's work, not his statements

The Kremlin will focus on an objective assessment of Kadyrov's work by various organizations and the presidential administration, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"As for the statements, a person resigns or does not resign - this is already not our topic at all," he said. "In this case we will be guided by assessments of the head of state and by those proposals that he makes for these or those people," Peskov noted.

A Kremlin spokesman said that "in general the effectiveness of heads of Russian regions is assessed by many organizations".

"Based on all this already the Russian president announces his judgment, and then on the basis of all his judgment makes Russian President" the spokesman said, adding that they need to wait for the time when Chechen leader’s term expires and the president’s decision.
