Tkachev promises increases in food prices will be no higher than inflation

The head of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, former Governor of Krasnodar Territory, Alexander Tkachev, believes that an increase in food prices during the current year will not be higher than the official inflation forecasts.

"I have great confidence that, if nothing extraordinary happens, we will not exceed the rate of inflation in 2016," RIA Novosti quotes him as saying.
