Farmers of Crimea demand abolition of quarantine on African swine fever

In the center of Simferopol, a protest of farmers and owners of private holdings is being held – they have gathered demanding to cancel the quarantine on African Swine Fever (ASF) in Crimea.

"Our main demand is the cancellation of the second quarantine zone, to remove it from the entire Republic of Crimea. It should remain only locally, in the area where it is really needed. Allow people to grow and sell this pork," TASS quoted one of the organizers, Ilya Bolshedvorov, as saying.
