Georgia holds winter mountain training course for NATO military

A basic course of winter mountain training in the framework of the NATO program Partnership for Peace programme is being held in Bakuriani (Samtskhe-Javakheti region), a statement on the website of the Georgian Ministry of Defense says.

The exercises of the school of mountain training in Sachkhere (Imereti region) named after Colonel Besik Kutateladze is attended by 28 soldiers of the member states and partner countries of the North Atlantic alliance.

Soldiers from Turkey, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Ukraine, Armenia and Azerbaijan are learning to ski and to pass through lines of obstacles on skis, Sputnik Georgia reports.
