Joint Russian-Tajik military drills start today

The joint military drills of Russian and Tajik troops started in Tajikistan today, the representative of the Central Military District, Colonel Jaroslav Roshupkin, said.

According to him, drills will be attended by authorities of the military department of the Ministry of Defense of Tajikistan and the Central Military District of the Russian Federation, infantry, armored and artillery units, special forces, as well as airborne and air assault groups.

"Modern mobile control stations, automated systems and communications equipment were transferred to Dushanbe," TASS cited Roshupkin as saying.
