State Department: Fate of anti-Russian sanctions will be determined by Obama's successor

The fate of the anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the United States will be determined by the next president, State Department spokesman Mark Toner said.

"The decision on sanctions will be the prerogative of the next administration," Gazeta.ru cites him as saying.

Toner stressed that the US political circles reached a consensus according to which sanctions will be maintained until the "Crimean issue is resolved."
