Azerbaijani CBA reorganized into a public entity

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has issued a decree on amendments to the law "On the Central Bank of Azerbaijan."

According to it, the CBA is to be reorganized from a public authority to a public entity, and its share capital will be reorganized in a statutory fund.

It will be able to allocate loans to banks in the case of short-term problems with their ability to pay and a lack of liquidity only at the appropriate request of the supervisory authority over financial markets, Azertag.az reports.
