Ganja Automobile Plant to assemble Russian 'Ural' cars

The chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Ganja Automotive Plant, Khanlar Fatiyev, and CEO of the Russian Ural Automotive Plant, Viktor Kadylkin, have signed an agreement on co-production of Ural automobiles in Azerbaijan and third countries.

"In Azerbaijan there will be a full assembly process and tuning of 'Ural' cars. The agreement involves the assembly of 500 vehicles per year at the Ganja Automobile Plant, which will be sold domestically, as well as in third countries," Trend cited the plant's message as saying.

The Ganja Plant is capable of manufacturing up to 1000 trucks and 2000 tractors per year.

Currently the plant is assembling Belarus tractors and MAZ automobiles.
