Nicosia has no plans to remove its veto on Turkey's accession to the EU as long as there is no agreement on the unification of Cyprus, the Politico newspaper writes.

"We will not withdraw the veto on these points of agreement," the Foreign Minister of Cyprus Ioannis Kasoulides said in an interview with Politico, adding that for him the negotiations on the unification of the Greek and Turkish parts of the island are a priority, and when this issue is resolved the veto of Cyprus may be removed, RIA Novosti reports.
