Tendency toward increasing volumes of gross agricultural production in Armenia

The volume of gross output of agriculture in Armenia in 2015 increased by 11.7% and amounted to 1 trillion 2 billion drams (about $2.04 billion), the Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan said today at a meeting of the government on the work of the Ministry of Agriculture in 2015

The percentage of the target usage of arable land has increased to 78.8%. In the order established by the government, farmers received loans for under 14% interest, of which 6% are subsidized. The total portfolio of subsidized loans in 2015 amounted to about 15.2 billion drams.
