Russia will build 13 stadiums meeting FIFA norms - Putin

Russia plans to build about 500 football pitches with all-season
artificial turf for children's and youth teams in the coming years,
Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with the young
football players of the "Pearl" and "South Sport" teams, RIA Novosti
reports.

Putin reminded that the new stadiums meeting the requirements of FIFA
will be constructed in 13 cities in the European part of Russia.
Roads, airports and hotels will be improved in these cities, and
appropriate lodges for football teams will be created, said the Prime
Minister.

Russia plans to create the infrastructure needed for the FIFA World
Cup of 2018 by 2017, he said.
