Azerbaijan establishes national organization to fight drug crime

Azerbaijan has established a national office against drugs and drug-related crime, Trend reports from the office of the regional aid “South Caucasus Anti Drug” (SCAD) UN Development Program.

The organization will give methodological assistance to the government in fighting illegal drug-trafficking and drug-related crime.

One of the office’s objectives is fighting AIDS, human trafficking and terrorism.
Mazair Efendiyev was appointed the head of the UN program.
