First phase of land reforms ends in Azerbaijan
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaAzerbaijan completed the first stage of land reforms, which divide
land into categories of land ownership, the head of the State
Committee for Land and Cartography, Garib Mammadov, announced today at
a press conference at the headquarters of the ruling party "Yeni
Azerbaijan," Trend reports.
According to Mammadov, 3.5 million people or 874,000 families received
free land in private ownership, 41 households became partially
subjected to the reforms partial and they were put to the balance of
the Azerbaijani Ministry of Agriculture.
Mammadov also noted that the main objectives of the land and agrarian
reform are to improve the social status of the population, to support
the middle class, as well as to create conditions for individuals from
different population groups to obtain rights for land ownership.
