Merkel: the matter of Turkey's accession to the EU is not on the agenda

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has said that now the matter of Turkey's accession to the EU is not on the agenda, despite the fact that conditions for liberalization of the visa regime with Turkey remain unchanged.

According to her, even the activation of the negotiating process doesn't provide any guarantees to the final result, Angela Merkel said during her speech in the Bundestag, Tass reports.
