Bank of Russia predicts increase in gasoline prices of more than 10%

The price of gasoline in Russia will rise by 10.4% due to an increase of excise duty since January 1st of the current year of 1.5 rubles and a further increase in April of 2 rubles, a report of the Bank of Russia on the main directions of monetary policy contained such information.

"The most significant growth was demonstrated by excise taxes on gasoline. The amount of excise duty on a liter of petrol from January 1st increased by 1.5 rubles, and from April 1st, an increase of 2 rubles is expected," TASS cites the text of the report.
