Ryabkov: Russia and US cooperate effectively on Syria

The issue on the need to intensify efforts to resolve the conflict in Syria will be raised during the upcoming visit of the US Secretary of State John Kerry to Moscow, the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said.

"Right now, negotiations led by the UN Secretary General's Special Representative Staffan de Mistura are continuing. Our representatives are also actively cooperating with the Americans. Despite certain flaws, even fundamental differences on some issues, we note that this work is ongoing and that it is effective in many respects," he added.
