Famous Azerbaijani writer Maksud Ibrahimbeyov dies
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe well-known Azerbaijani writer, playwright, screenwriter, People's Writer of Azerbaijan, a former MP Magsud Ibrahimbeyov, has died at the age of 80 years.
Magsud Ibrahimbeyov was born on May 11, 1935 in Baku. He graduated from the Azerbaijan State Polytechnic Institute in 1960. He wrote novels, novellas and short stories published in various magazines. Among these works are 'Who Will Go to Truskavets?', 'There Was Never a Better Brother', 'Let Him Stay with Us', 'An Owl Flew By', 'A Story with a Happy End' and others.
Magsud Ibrahimbeyov is a laureate of the State Prize of Azerbaijan (1976), an Honored Artist of Azerbaijan (1979), he was awarded the highest state orders, Istiglal, Shohrat and Sharaf, as well as the winner of the CIS Interstate Prize 'Stars of the Commonwealth'.
Maksud Ibrahimbeyov will be buried at the Alley of Honor in Baku.
