8 Turkish servicemen dead in Diyarbakir shootout with PKK

8 Turkish servicemen were killed and 24 more injured in a shootout with militants of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in Turkey’s southeastern province of Diyarbakir.

A large-scale operation against the PKK started in the province following the shootout, Trend reports with reference to the Sabah newspaper.
