The second highest figure in Daesh, Abd al-Rahman al-Mustafa Kaduli, has been eliminated as a result of a US military raid in Syria. He was also known as Haji Imam, NBC reports with reference to sources in the Pentagon.

According to The Hill, al-Kaduli was a deputy and a potential successor to the leader of the al-Baghdadi organization.

In May 2014 he was identified by the US Treasury as "a particularly dangerous global terrorist." The American authorities promised a reward of $7 million for information about him, RBC reports.
