The migration flow into the European Union from Turkey has sharply declined, the spokesperson of the European Commission Natasha Bertaud said today.

"The sharp decline in the migration flow from Turkey to Greece is encouraging," she said.

According to Bertaud, the EU and Turkey are working on the implementation of the agreement, which was adopted at the summit on March 17-18 in Brussels.

"76 illegal migrants were returned on March 24 and  71 migrants on March 25," TASS cited her as saying.

Bertaud also said that the sides are preparing to start the process of receiving Syrian refugees in the EU on April 4.
