Ukraine doesn't intend to buy gas from Russia

Ukraine does not intend to renew the purchase of Russian gas from April 1st 2016 due to the unfavorable price, but the company Naftogaz remains open to negotiations on the price of gas.

Naftogaz of Ukraine has no plans to resume the purchase of gas from Gazprom from April 1st 2016, as the gas price offered by the company for the second quarter of 2016 is higher than the offer of European suppliers. Besides, "Gazprom rejected Naftogaz's proposal about the renewal of the agreements that define the transition conditions for the purchase of Russian gas for Ukraine,'' RIA Novosti cites the message of the Ukrainian company.
