Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili commented on the decision of the Republican Party to participate in the parliamentary elections in autumn independently.

"The coalition was formed to ensure that the opposition would peacefully change the previous government," he recalled, noting that the Georgian Dream party achieved this goal.

"I have repeated several times while speaking on elections that a political system with black and white opposing sides, is obsolete for Georgian political culture," the President said.

"Against the background of the fact that we have a few serious players, voters will be able to choose their future representative in the parliament," Georgia Online cited Margvelashvili as saying.
