Vice-governor of Kuban dies

The vice-governor of Krasnodar Territory, Murat Akhedzak, has died after a long-term illness, RIA Novosti reports.

He had been deputy governor of Krasnodar Territory since 2002. He
dealt with cooperation between the executive power and the security
services, political parties and non-governmental organizations and was
responsible for internal policy.

Murat Akhedzak was 48 years old.
