Dagestan collects humanitarian aid for residents of burnt-down village

The Ministry of Emergency Situations in Makhachkala has set up a donor line for those who want contribute to humanitarian aid for the residents of the burnt-down Dagestani village of Tsibari, RIA Novosti reports.


A fire broke out in the village, in the Tsuntin Region of Dagestan, on the 30th of November. The fire quickly spread through the village. Only 10 out of 95 houses remained standing. The nearest fire-fighters were located 70-100 kilometres away and the wind was complicating the situation. The villagers have been accommodated in nearby villages.
