Number of terrorist acts in North Caucasus doubles this year

The number of terrorist acts in the North Caucasus Federal District grew by 100% compared to last year, RIA Novosti reports.

14 terrorist acts in total were committed in the NCFD, said the Deputy Chief Prosecutor of Russia, Ivan Sydoruka, at a meeting on the work of the interior services in the NCFD.

He stated that this year 30 anti-terrorist operations were carried out, more than 300 terrorists were killed, 58 terrorist acts were prevented and 16 leaders of terrorist groups were eliminated.
