Iran to sell oil to India for euros
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaTehran has stopped selling oil to New Delhi for rupees and switched to payment in euros, the Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh said on the sidelines of the Iranian-Indian business conference.
"Iran has stopped selling oil to India for rupees and now demands payment in euros only," TASS cited him as saying.
Earlier, the countries signed new contracts for additional Iranian oil exports. Iran’s crude oil exports to India have reached 350,000 barrels per day. Zanganeh stressed that "Tehran hopes that this figure will increase now since sanctions have been lifted".
