Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan set up railway consortium

Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are setting up a new railway consortium that should increase cargo flow through Trans-Caspian route.

The head of Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) Javid Gurbanov and the head of Kazakhstan Railways (KTZ) Askar Mamin have held the talks today.

"The parties discussed prospects of development of the Trans-Caspian international transport route, the creation of a consortium between ADY Express, KTZ Express, Trans Caucasus Terminals and ACSC Logistics to develop this route. Deliveries of new locomotives, rails and other equipment to Azerbaijan Railways were among the issues discussed," abc.az reports.
