Iran's army gets new weapons

A series of both new and modified weapons and armored vehicles have been delivered to the ground forces of the Iranian army, Press TV reports.

Addressing the ceremony, the Commander of the Iranian Ground Forces, Ahmad Reza Pourdastan, said Iran uses cutting-edge technologies for designing and manufacturing some of its defense equipment. 

7.62-mm Dragunov sniper rifles and new air defense systems were also among the delivered equipment, Mehr News reports.
