Caspian resorts in Azerbaijan get in Top 5 of most popular destinations of summer holidays on CIS area

Travel service Travel.ru has found out the most popular holiday destinations of tourists in the CIS member countries.

The rating of resorts is based on booking of hotels and apartments in the resorts for the summer of 2016.

According to Travel.ru, the accommodation for a family of three at the resort in the CIS countries will cost an average of 3,500 rubles a day, which is commensurate with the cost of summer holidays at Russian resorts.

Top 5 of most popular resorts among tourists on the CIS area are Issyk-Kul Lake (Kyrgyzstan), resort Borovoe (Kazakhstan), Naroch Lake (Belarus), Caspian Sea (Baku, Azerbaijan) and Sevan Lake (Armenia), abc.az reports.

The main beach resorts on the Caspian Sea coastline in Azerbaijan are Baku, Khudat, Khachmaz, Astara, Siyazan, and the beaches with of black sand of volcanic origin in Lankaran which have no analogues on the post-Soviet space. Warm sea, sandy beaches and Caucasian cuisine attract tourists to the beach resorts of Azerbaijan. Visiting to the ancient cities here can be combined with daily bathing in the sea. In Baku the popular beaches are Aysberq beach, Crescent beach, restaurant and hotel complex Sherlock’s beach and the beach near the Ramada Hotel. Baku is the only capital on the CIS area with the sea coastline and conditions for holiday stay.
