Armenian deputy flees country taking party's money

The member of Prosperous Armenia Party, Abraham Manukyan, has fled the country taking 100 million drams ($200 thousand) belonging to the party, the Armenian newspaper Haykakan Zhamanak reports.

His assistant at the National Assembly also confirms that he is not in Armenia. That money was intended for coordination of regional structures of the party, APA reports.

Several months ago there was a conflict situation in the party, some members left the party. There were rumors that Manukyan wanted to make changes in the leadership in the party.
