Azerbaijan to open talks on visa-free regime and readmission with EU

Azerbaijan and the EU will open talks on easing the visa regime and
readmission in the near future, the Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of
Foreign Affairs Mahmoud Mamedguliyev said, ANS reports.

He said that the negotiations could start in 2-3 months.

The deputy minister said that the visa-related issues were discussed
between Azerbaijan and the EU at the subcommittee for freedom,
security, human rights and democracy of the European Union in Baku on
November 30 and December 1.

Mamedguliyev said that the next session of the subcommittee will be
held in Brussels next year.
