Putin ready to visit Olympics despite Brazil political crisis

Russian President Vladimir Putin may attend the opening ceremony for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, which will take place on August 5, despite political crisis in the country, a source in the Russian presidential administration said.

The preparations for the visit of Russian leader are still ongoing, the Izvestia newspaper reports.
