442 people treated for heat-related ailments in Israel

The Magen David Adom rescue service reports it treated at least 442 people for heat sicknesses, including 196 who fainted, 31 who suffered dehydration, 212 who complained of feeling faint and three who suffered heatstroke, the Times of Israel reports.

The temperature in Red Sea resort city Eilat has climbed to 46 degrees, the highest temperature recorded in the city since 1979.
