Sochi to launch rail connection with airport in July 2012

Investment into realization of the railroad project connecting Sochi,
Adler and the airport of Sochi and construction of the new rail line
from Adler to the airport has exceeded 3.6 billion rubles in ten
months, Yuga.ru reports.

The rail line will be over 2.7 kilometer long and will allow
transportation of over 82,000 people daily. The rail line includes
overpasses and 2 tunnels with a length of over 500 m. The set of stops
will be on three levels, due to the vertiginous terrain. It will
incorporate escalators and 3 elevators.
