Unveiling of a bronze statue of Polad Bulbuloglu, created by Zurab Tsereteli

The president of the Russian Academy of Artists, Zurab Tsereteli, presented his new work – a statue of the singer, composer and ambassador of Azerbaijan to Russia, Polad Bulbuloglu. The sculpture continued the series of works of Tsereteli ‘Contemporaries’, in the framework of which he has created sculptures of many figures of Russian culture, science and art, including Iosif Kobzon, Andrei Voznesensky, Mstislav Mstislav Rostropovich and Vladimir Vysotsky. Earlier, the sculptor depicted  the culture of the first half of the 20th century in bronze – Feodor Chaliapin and Vsevolod Meyerhold, Alexander Blok, Sergey Yesenin and Vladimir Mayakovsky, Anna Akhmatova, Nikolai Gumilev, Marina Tsvetaeva, Osip Mandelstam and Boris Pasternak.
