Lukashenko offers to host meeting between Pope and Patriarch Kirill in Belarus

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko offered Pope Francis to meet with Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill in Belarus. He said this, commenting on the results of his meeting with pontiff in Vatican.

"I expressed the idea that it is time for pontiff to come to Belarus and, together with our Patriarch, meet with our citizens," he said.

Lukashenko highly appreciated the meeting with Pope. "It was a personal meeting. It went very well," he pointed out.
