Muslim head calls for calm in Russia

The head of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia has
urged his fellow Muslims and all Russians not to react to nationalist
provocations, RIA Novosti reports.

On Monday, the Council of the Muftis of Russia (SMR) issued a
statement which stresses that the recent riots near Red Square should
be condemned by religious leaders of all denominations.
