Lavrov and Kerry discuss prospect of joint military operations in Syria

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov had a telephone conversation with his US counterpart, John Kerry, during which the parties discussed the possibility of the joint military operations in Syria,  the Russian Foreign Ministry reported.

It is also known that Sergey Lavrov pointed out that Washington should fulfill its obligation to ‘divest the units of the Syrian opposition focused on the United States from the terrorists of Jabhat al-Nusra, on whom the truce is not applied.’ According to the Russian minister, the US side should carry out the appropriate ‘separation’ in the near future.
