Georgia's foreign trade turnover with CIS countries drops
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe foreign trade turnover of Georgia with CIS countries dropped by 15% in January-April 2016 compared to the same period of 2015, amounting to $765 million, National Statistics Office of Georgia 'Gruzstat' reports.
It should be noted that exports dropped by 26% and amounted to only $184 million, while imports dropped by 10% and amounted to $5812 million.
At the same time, trade with the CIS provides Georgia with 23% of its foreign trade turnover, earlier this figure was 30%. 19% of the negative balance of trade was accounted for by the share of CIS countries, previously it was only 24%.
