Vladimir Putin congratulates Ilham Aliyev on Azerbaijan's Republic Day

Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a congratulatory letter to the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of Azerbaijan's Republic Day.

"Please, accept my heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan - the Day of the Republic.

Azerbaijan's achievements in the socio-economic, scientific, technical and other spheres are well known. Our country rightfully enjoys high reputation on international arena.

The Russian-Azerbaijani relations, based on long-standing traditions of friendship and good neighborhood, are at a high level. There is a substantial political dialogue between the two countries and the mutually beneficial cooperation is expanding in various spheres.

I am confident that with joint efforts, we will ensure the further expansion of the whole complex of bilateral relations, as well as the partnership relations in resolving the topical issues on the regional and international agenda. This meets the basic interests of the brotherly peoples of our countries.
