The 'road map' for the implementation of the Islamic banking in Russia will be implemented before the appointed time, the Deputy chairman of the Bank of Russia Alexander Torshin said during the meeting of the Group of Strategic Vision 'Russia - Islamic World'.
"The document is designed for two years and may be adjusted in the course of implementation. But I think that we will carry out our plans before the appointed time, there are all prerequisites for it. The 'road map' covers the key aspects of the partnership banking: legal, regulatory, educational and others, provides a set of measures aimed at studying the possibility of introducing the partnership banking services," TASS cited him as saying.
The Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank reminded that the working group for the development of the partnership banking, headed by the first deputy chairman of the Central Bank, Alexei Simanovsky, was formed in Russia in 2015.
