PKK leader killed in northern Iraq

The Turkish special forces killed the PKK leader Murad Karayilan during an operation in the territory of northern Iraq, the Akşam newspaper reports.

It is reported that Karayilan was killed in the city of Kandil. However, the official Turkish authorities have not yet confirmed this information.
