Eduard Isakov: Baku held European Games at the highest level
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe member of the Committee of the Federation Council on Social Policy, the representative of the executive body of state power of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra, Edward Isakov, visited the studio of ‘Vestnik Kavkaza’ today, shortly before the 98th anniversary of the proclamation of a democratic republic in Azerbaijan (The Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan on May 28th). On air of the ‘Tribuna’ program he spoke about the implementation of an accessible environment programs in Russia, as well as shared his impressions after trips to Azerbaijan.
The senator told that he visited the European games last summer in Baku. According to him, the competitions took place at the highest level.
"It will be very difficult for the next country to reach this level of that gorgeous opening ceremony, the quality of the competition and excellent sports facilities,’’ he noted.
He draw attention to the fact that all sports facilities were built in accordance with programs on the creation of an accessible environment, i.e. they were comfortable for all people.
Eduard Isakov stated that he would be pleased to visit Baku again. "Baku is a beautiful city and Azerbaijan is a beautiful country and we just be glad for you," the a member of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy said.
The senator said that he also had an opportunity to visit the ‘Shahdagski’ complex in Azerbaijan, which was a pleasant surprise for him. "I am fond of snowboarding in my spare time. When I was invited, I did not believe that." A ski resort in Azerbaijan? ‘‘When I came I was delighted with the resort," the politician said.
"It's a beautiful place. It is located on the border with Dagestan about 200 km from Baku. The level of this complex is very serious,’’ he praised.
Isakov had positive emotions due to the fact that many locals train downhill skiing and snowboarding.
"But I understand that those guys who train now will have different levels after a year or two," the member of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy said.
The politician also expressed his wishes to residents of Azerbaijan, urging them to go in for sports and lead healthy lives.
