Kulevi terminal unloads 100,000-ton tanker

of the Azerbaijani Republic) has unloaded a 100,000-ton oil tanker of
Chevron in the shortest possible time, a message from SOCAR reads,
Trend reports.
The message says that unloading took only 18 hours 45 minutes.
Realization of such operations in other terminals of the region takes
at least 34 hours.
The terminal started re-shipment of Kazakh oil from the Tengiz field
in July. Before that, the terminal was realizing oil product
re-shipment.
The terminal in Kulevi was launched in May 2008, re-shipment started
in June. The terminal re-ships 10 million tons of bulk-oil cargo
annually, including up to 3 million tons of oil and diesel fuel and 4
million tons of fueling oil. The reservoirs in the terminal have a
total capacity of 320,000 cubic meters, which can be increased to
380,000 cubic meters.
The terminal has two moorings for oil products for tankers with a
tonnage of 100,000 tons. The operation has a productivity of 1000-8000
cubic meters per hour. The facility serves a railroad station, which
can hold up to 180 rail tankers waiting for cargo. The station can
host 168 rail tankers unloading products at any one time.
